BGC specializes in evaluating sand, gravel, and hard rock quarries for aggregate products. We review geologic literature and perform field exploration to determine the extent of the deposits. Samples obtained from the field exploration program are tested for quality to determine if the material would meet baserock, asphalt concrete, Portland cement concrete, rip rap, and railroad ballast specifications. We are extensively familiar with Caltrans, US Army Corp of Engineers, AASHTO, and railroad requirements for aggregate. |
