Landslide and hillside development projects

BGC specializes in investigating and mitigating landslides for new and existing developments.  BGC has performed geotechnical investigations and monitored construction for hundreds of hillside developments.  We review geologic literature and aerial photographs, perform field reconnaissance, log borings and test pits, perform laboratory strength testing, and analyze the stability of slopes.  BGC analyzes limiting equilibrium conditions and devises cost effective mitigation measures for the landslides.  We feel that our field technicians are the most experienced and best soil technicians when it comes to the mass grading of hillsides.  Our geologists are called out regularly to view cuts and exposed bedrock during mass grading.  Our technicians and geologists work with the grading contractor to provide the best and most cost effective solutions to provide stable hillside developments.
